What does a penetration test involve?

Information gathering

Gaining access

Armed with this information, the hacker turns their attention to gaining and maintaining access to your system., using a broad set of tools and methods. This can include specially designed attack software, injecting code to modify or retrieve data, hardware to gain remote access and social engineering, such a phishing emails or physical entry to an organisation’s premises.

Extraction

The hacker will leave the system as they found it, removing all traces of their presence.

Reporting

A full report will allow you to implement security upgrades and eliminate any vulnerabilities discovered during the test.
